FIT Malaysia conducted FiT’s Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM) workshop last week for a group of enthusiastic physiotherapist keen to learn and enhance their knowledge in the field of exercise. This workshop caught the attention of WQ Park, a health and rehabilitation centre located in Kelana Jaya, which then recognized the need for their team of physiotherapists to learn safe and proper corrective exercises from experienced and internationally certified fitness professionals.
Even with the advent of sophisticated medical equipment, WQ Park realize the importance of implementing and designing corrective exercise strategies to improve movement impairments in their patients and thus are aware that exercise is not the expertise of physiotherapists. Therefore, by creating the awareness of the importance of learning and enhancing proper corrective exercise knowledge among fellow physiotherapists, WQ Park invited physiotherapists from all practices and gave us the opportunity to conduct the workshop at their centre.
It was a privilege for us to have worked with WQ Park and to have shared our knowledge with all the physiotherapist present on that day as they were all satisfied to have learned something new to add into their repertoire of techniques and therapies in the treatment and rehabilitation of their patients.
