We have 7 personal trainers undergoing preparation course for the ACE Lifestyle & Weight Management Coach examination. The course helps personal trainers to identify clients’ barriers in weight management and help clients to overcome it. By recognizing what motivates them, personal trainers can identify how to effectively communicate their advice and determine the best way to help them safely achieve their goals. The course highlights the essential relationship between physical activity and nutrition and illustrates how permanent weight loss is most effectively brought about through a change in lifestyle.

Part of the course requires these coaches to understand actual serving sizes. We decided to have fun while learning this by having a pot luck party. Each participants was assigned a food group and they need to bring ready to eat food (prepare one serving for each participant). We even had wine 🙂
