For the first time ever, we bring you the MAN from American Council on Exercise (ACE), Fabio Comana M.A., M.S., ACE-CPT & LWMC, ACSM HFS, CSCS, CISSN to run the latest workshops @ international standard for you.
Fabio is an exercise physiologist and spokesperson for ACE as well as a faculty member teaching Exercise Science and Nutrition at San Diego State University and University of California San Diego. Prior to ACE, Fabio was a head coach and a strength and conditioning coach at SDSU. He also opened and managed health clubs for Club One. A national and international presenter, Fabio is frequently featured on television, radio, the Internet and in print publications and has authored chapters in various textbooks.
Fabio will be running `Sports Conditioning” and `Metabolic Conditioning for Weight Loss & Performance ” here at FIT Malaysia on 2nd and 3rd of July.

ACE’s Sports Conditioning Workshop
Sports conditioning continues to be a popular fitness trend although there is growing concern over how mobile.ae.org appropriate it is for certain clients. Personal trainers and group fitness instructors often implement advanced drills without consideration of their purpose and appropriateness, potentially doing more harm than good. Held nationwide, this interactive, hands-on workshop first addresses the science of sports conditioning and training the energy pathways, and delivers a systematic approach to designing sports conditioning sessions and programs. Discover skill-related parameters of fitness (i.e., balance, agility, coordination, speed, reactivity and power) and learn how to tailor sports conditioning drills for specific population groups along with progressions in intensity, complexity and movement that are suitable to their skill and conditioning level. Whether for fun or performance, the exercises, drills and movement patterns you will gain in ACE”s Sports Conditioning Workshop will add a new dimension to programming for personal trainers and group fitness instructors.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Define key considerations for developing sports conditioning programs.
- Conduct a thorough needs assessment to design sports conditioning workouts for clients.
- Design appropriate skill- and conditioning-level drills, exercises and movement patterns that address all skill-related parameters of fitness.
- Demonstrate and instruct a variety of drills, exercises and movement patterns for all conditioning levels.
- Discuss key nutritional and hydration strategies to help improve performance

This interactive, 7 to 8-hour workshop covers effective new training methods and their respective roles within ACE’s Integrated Fitness Training (ACE IFT™) model, including:

- Metabolic strategies for effective weight loss
- Metabolic training for performance
- Nutritional and hydration strategies for hypertrophy and performance
