COURSE OVERVIEW
The FEA Certified Fitness Practitioner (CFP) is a revolutionary personal training certification which aims to produce fitness professionals with better practical and applied skills in coaching client’s movement, implementing safe & effective exercise programmes and client management skills to match the diverse needs and expectations of clients. These are indeed the key job competencies of personal trainers in Asia. We believe good education and training will focus on what the learners need the most in practice (as opposed to what is good to know) thus creating graduates with high-level of employability and demand.
In Level 1, you will learn Exercise Coaching in this fitness instructing certification. You will learn how to coach clients to perform exercises based on the principles of stability & mobility as well as functional movements, from basic to complex exercises. This will enable you to suggest specific exercises that is best suited for your client. You will understand the essential components of a workout session and how to plan fun and purposeful workouts for beginner, intermediate and advance exercisers through applied exercise science and internationally accepted training guidelines.
After being equipped with a library of exercises and coaching skills, you will be ready to extend your learning in Level 2 (Personal Trainer in Practice, which will provide you with personal training skills where you are able to assess and design exercise programs for clients with various fitness goals. In this component, you will learn to train and manage clients according to the Goal Based Training Model (GBT) that features 4 very common client goals: to improve functionality, health, body composition (i.e. looking good) and general fitness. In each goal, you will be given tools on how to train and manage your client’s training and eating habits. This also includes how you can monitor and track your client’s progress.
