Furthermore, we have a network of sister companies throughout Asia.
As the fitness education centre of choice by University of Malaya (UM), and fitness industry advisor for Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC), we are committed to enriching the quality of life and wellness of society, improving fitness, and enhancing athletic performance through safe and effective exercise.
What We Do
As Malaysia’s first education, training and certification centre dedicated to developing world-class fitness leaders, we provide preparation courses for international certification exams, continuing education and specialization certificates, as well as networking opportunities for fitness professionals.
Why We Do It
Fitness, wellness and sports are amongst the fastest growing industries in Asia today. To add value as advisors to clients, it’s essential that fitness professionals stay current with the latest science and application, training tools, and techniques.
In other words, you need to apply the best practices to ensure clients’ health, fitness and performance. You need objective information, experienced advice and internationally-recognised service standards to turn to. With innovative and cost-effective education and training, FITM meets these needs.
HOW WE WORK
FITM engages fitness enthusiasts and professionals through face-to-face, hands-on education and training to prepare them for international certifications in personal training, sports conditioning, health coaching, and group exercise. All our courses include a sound theoretical base and practical application.
FITM empowers fitness professionals to acquire international qualifications with world-renowned bodies such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – world leaders in fitness education and certification. In an effort to expand our group fitness courses, we established a working relationship with Train Fitness (UK) in 2012.
Recognising the growing demand for fitness education in the region, FITM’s sister company, Fitness Innovations Thailand (FiT), began co-organising the annual Asia Fitness Convention in Thailand. The popular convention brings together over 50 world-class presenters to Southeast Asia each year and attracts over 1,000 delegates from around the region.
(1) Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Instructors and Strength & Conditioning Specialists are empowered through expanded career options locally or overseas.
(2) Recent university graduates build on theoretical knowledge by acquiring practical skills and improving their earning potential through hands-on experiences.
(3) Fitness centres gain a competitive edge by improving quality and standard of services.
(4) Fitness enthusiasts enjoy safe and effective programmes as the community of certified instructors grows.
